Did you know there was a female fighter who frequently fought men for wagers?

Jongrak Saknonhan was a muay ying from Amphur Chumphae, Khon Kaen. She graduated from Phetchabun College of Physical Education and was a runner in Thailand’s Youth National Team. Jongrak made a name for herself by frequently fighting against male fighters for wagers. She once even waged 20,000 baht in her fight against Jaikaew Songrit, a former junior featherweight champion of Rajadamnern. She also beat Kaosai Sor Praditsak and Joy Kiatprayun by decision and put up a good fight versus Rengrob Jockygym. In 1990, Jongrak traveled to the United States to fight an American female fighter, but she unfortunately couldn’t make it through the pre-fight physical check-up.
